Mustafa Al-Bassam

CEO at Celestia

Mustafa Al-Bassam is the CEO of Celestia. Mustafa was previously an advisor at Nym, a company that October 2019 to November 2021. Mustafa was also the co-founder and researcher at Chainspace, which was acquired by Facebook in 2019. Prior to that, they worked as an advisor at Secure Trading, where they advised in the areas of information security and distributed ledger technology. Mustafa also interned at SwiftKey, where they built and optimized systems that processed application usage statistics for millions of users daily. SwiftKey was acquired by Microsoft in 2016. Mustafa has also interned at King's College London and Privacy International.

Mustafa Al-Bassam completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at King's College London. Mustafa then went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science at UCL. Prior to this, they completed A-levels in A2 Mathematics, A2 Biology, A2 Chemistry and AS Psychology at City of London Academy, Southwark.
