Yangjin Ma

Yangjin Ma has over 11 years of work experience in the field of photonics and optoelectronics. Yangjin started their career as a Research Assistant at the Laboratory of Condensed Matter Spectroscopy and Opto-Electronic Physics in 2009 and worked there until 2012. In 2012, they also worked as a Visiting Researcher at Mentor Graphics for a brief period. From 2012 to 2014, Yangjin worked as a Research Assistant at OpSIS, focusing on optoelectronic system integration in silicon. In 2014, they joined Elenion Technologies as a Senior Photonics Engineer, where they were one of the first few core members of the company. Yangjin worked at Elenion until January 2020. Currently, Yangjin is employed as a Senior Principle Photonics Design Engineer at Celestial AI, a position they have held since September 2020.

Yangjin Ma earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Physics from Tianjin University in 2009. Following this, from 2009 to 2012, Ma pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Condensed Matter Physics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Finally, from 2012 to 2015, Ma pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Delaware.
