Mark Ammar Rayes

Mark Ammar Rayes is a Senior Principal AI and Cloud Architect and Engineer at Celestica since June 2025, and an Adjunct Professor at San Jose State University since August 2022, where courses on AI/ML, cloud computing, and software security are designed and taught. Previously, Mark held various leadership roles at Cisco from May 2009 to May 2024, including Director of Principle Technical Product Management, overseeing the development of the Cisco Catalyst Center Platform and guiding advanced services within Cisco CX. Mark began a career at AT&T Labs, Inc. as Director of System Engineers from May 2005 to April 2009, leading significant projects in network design and traffic management. Mark holds a Ph.D. in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
