Celestra Health Systems
Our mission is to help MS patients and their clinicians by unobtrusively monitoring key disease indicators such as gait and balance, cognition and manual dexterity as patients go about their daily lives, in a simple and convenient manner. To this end, Celestra Health is developing the first clinically proven MS app developed for measuring MS patient health under free living conditions, to deliver a continuum of meaningful patient data to the clinician. Given the long interval between patient/clinician visits (typically between 6 to 12 months), clinicians do not have visibility to the health of their patients between visits. Furthermore, it is often difficult to assess the patient's disease condition during a patient visit, due to the lack of objective data and the effect of good days / bad days. And for some MS patients, once the disease starts to progress, there is no way to “turn back the clock”; for this reason, an early warning system is viewed as an invaluable tool for managing the disease.
