Jessica Rothenberg-Aalami has a diverse work experience in various leadership and founder roles within the technology and social responsibility sectors. Jessica is currently the Chief Executive Officer & Founder of Cell-Ed, a company that provides mobile solutions for adult learners. Prior to that, they served as a Project Literacy Fellow at Unreasonable. Jessica also co-founded and served as a Partner at Gobee Group, where they played a pivotal role in the company's development. Additionally, they founded and served as the Executive Director of GlobalCSR, a consultancy that aimed to innovate new business models for emerging market technologies and social responsibility. Jessica has also worked as a Collaborating Researcher at the Berkeley Roundtable on the International Economy (BRIE). Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in mobile education, social responsibility, and business innovation.

Jessica Rothenberg-Aalami has a strong education background in various fields. In 1994, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Economy of Industrial Societies from the University of California, Berkeley. Following this, they pursued further studies and obtained both a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Economic Geography and International Studies from the University of Oregon between 1994 and 2002. In 1997 and 1998, they also earned a Master's Certificate in Business Administration and Management at the Harvard University Division of Continuing Education. Jessica'seducation journey continued in 2002 when they became a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Berkeley Roundtable on the International Economy (BRIE) at the University of California, Berkeley. During this period, their research focused primarily on Emerging Markets and Information and Communication Technologies.
