Michael Jones

Founder/CEO at Cell Guidance Systems

Michael Jones has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1990 when they were a STA Research Fellow at the Japanese Foundation for Cancer Research. In 1992, they became a Research Associate at Cambridge University, then moved on to Chugai Pharmaceuticals in 1995 where they held the roles of Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist. In 2003, they joined Invitrogen as Senior Manager of Corporate Development. In 2007, they were a Venture Advisor at Orion Healthcare Equity Partners, a Visiting Scientist at RIKEN, and COO at REPROCELL. From 2010 to 2018, they were Founder/CEO of Cell Guidance Systems, and from 2013 to 2018 they were Non Executive Director at TransSINE Technologies. In 2018, they became Non Executive Director at Transine Therapeutics.

Michael Jones obtained their PhD in Molecular Biology of Cancer from Newcastle University, UK, between 1986 and 1990. Michael also obtained a BSc in Genetics from Liverpool University, UK, between 1983 and 1986.
