Corey Hayford

Corey Hayford is a Principal Data Engineer at Cellarity since August 2023, previously serving as a Senior Scientist in Bioinformatics. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist and Bioinformatics Analyst II at Fluent BioSciences Inc. from March 2021 to August 2023, and as a Graduate Researcher at Vanderbilt University from August 2015 to March 2021, where Corey was awarded an NIH predoctoral fellowship in 2017 and secured independent funding for thesis work in 2018. Corey's research centers on the molecular basis of tumor recurrence in melanoma and lung cancer, utilizing bioinformatics, mathematical modeling, and quantitative experimentation. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Chemical and Physical Biology from Vanderbilt University and a B.S. in Biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin. Corey also has experience in undergraduate research and as a camp counselor.
