Louisa Mayer is a highly skilled scientist with extensive experience in the field of hematology and biochemistry. Currently serving as a Scientist II and Supervisor at Cellectis since June 2021, Louisa previously held positions as Scientist I and Jr Scientist. Louisa completed a PhD at the University of Cambridge, focusing on the development, secretion, and retention of granules in hematopoietic cells by studying the Nbeal2 protein interactome. Earlier research experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at the University of St Andrews, where efforts centered on bacterial membrane proteins, as well as positions as a Research Intern at Texas Children's Hospital and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Louisa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from the University of St Andrews.
