Walter H. Koch

Walter H. Koch is currently an advisor at Cellestia Biotech, but they have an extensive background in the field of research. Walter started their career at the FDA in 1987 as Acting Lab Chief for the Laboratory of Immunochemistry. In 1998, they transitioned to Roche Molecular Systems where they became Research Leader and eventually Director and Senior Director of Pharmacogenetics Research. In 2005, they left Roche to start their own consulting company before rejoining Cellestia Biotech in 2020. Throughout their career, Koch has been responsible for developing new genetic and pharmacogenomic assays using Affymetrix oligonucleotide microarray, linear array, and real-time PCR technologies and platforms.

Walter H. Koch has a postdoctoral fellowship in Environmental Health Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University, a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology and Toxicology from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from The University of Memphis.
