Gildas Ouin has a diverse work experience in various industries. Gildas started their career as a Laboratory Technician Assistant at eRcane in 2013. In 2015, they worked as a Renewable Energy Apprentice at Solar Innova. Gildas then joined Thales as an Engineering Assistant in 2016. In 2017, Gildas worked as a Research Intern at ECN, where they focused on surface passivation of CIGS solar cells and conducted studies on self-assembled materials. During the same year, they also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where they researched GaN-based nanowires devices and space radiation damage induced in InGaAs photodetectors. In 2019, Gildas became a Process Engineer at Mattson Technology, where their responsibilities included working on customer demonstrations, support, software and hardware improvement, and automating process data analysis. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at CelLink Corporation.

Gildas Ouin obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Microelectronic Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Gildas attended the university from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at INSA Rennes, where they earned a Diplôme d'Ingénieur, equivalent to a Master's of Science in Engineering, specializing in Materials Science and Engineering. In 2016, Gildas studied abroad as an exchange student at the Rochester Institute of Technology, focusing on Microelectronic Engineering.
