Damien Bates MD, PhD, FRACS, MBA is a distinguished medical professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various biotechnology and pharmaceutical organizations. Currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Cellphire Therapeutics, Inc., Damien has also held significant positions such as Executive Director and Chief Medical Officer Consultant at DNA Surgical LLC and Vice President - Head of Cell Therapy Development at Novo Nordisk. Additionally, Damien has offered strategic guidance as a Strategic Advisor at Tessara Therapeutics and has played key roles at BioCurate Pty Ltd, including Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientific Officer. Academically, Damien holds an MBA in Management from The Wharton School and a PhD in Developmental Biology from the University of Melbourne.
