Athanasios Garoufas serves as the Chief Business Development Officer at Gelatex, leading international business development strategies across various sectors, including Cultivated Meat and Drug Delivery, while fostering innovative projects and strategic partnerships. Previously, Garoufas held roles such as International Business Development Manager, focusing on nanofiber technology applications, and Business Development Executive in the Pharma and Medical Division at VIOSER S.A. Garoufas also worked at ProGnosis Biotech S.A., managing international business development in food safety diagnostics. Currently, Garoufas serves as a Board Advisor for Cellular Agriculture Greece. Garoufas holds multiple degrees including a PhD in Patentability of biotechnology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, along with Master's Degrees in Industrial Pharmacology, Public Health and Environmental Hygiene, and an MBA. Additionally, Garoufas is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Law at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
