David Kay

Director of Communications at CAS (The Cellular Agriculture Society)

David Kay is an MBA Brand Management Intern at Danone, focusing on Silk Soymilk since June 2024. Previously, David served as Director of Communications at UPSIDE Foods from December 2015 to August 2023, where responsibilities included leading PR and external communications, as well as state and local policy functions. As a founding member and Vice President of the AMPS Innovation trade association for the cultivated meat industry, David contributed significantly to the field. Earlier roles included Senior Manager of Communications, Manager of Communications & Sustainability, and Business Analyst at UPSIDE Foods, along with various internships and research assistant positions at organizations such as Mercy For Animals and Stanford University. David holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Political Science from Stanford University and is pursuing an MBA at Harvard Business School.
