Sourav Bandyopadhyay

Staff Software Engineer at Celona

Sourav Bandyopadhyay has been working in the software engineering field since 2014. Sourav started their career at Johnson Controls as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in Field Engineering, then moved on to become a Hardware Design Engineer in Smart Embedded Controls and an Application Engineer in Advanced Product Research. In 2018, they began working at the University of Pennsylvania as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for ESE519 and CIS541. Sourav was also a Team Member in the Embedded Capture the Flag competition, advised by Prof James Weimer and Prof Insup Lee from PRECISE Lab at UPenn. In the same year, they interned at Nokia Bell Labs as a Medical Cyber-Physical System Intern, where they were involved in setting up an OAI emulator and connecting it to the USRP B210 for physical layer communication with UE over Band 4. In 2019, Sourav began working at Celona as a Software Engineer.

Sourav Bandyopadhyay completed a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation from the Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata between 2010 and 2014. Sourav then obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Computer and Information Sciences and Embedded Systems from the University of Pennsylvania between 2017 and 2019. Sourav also obtained certifications from Udacity, Udemy, and edX during this time. Currently, they are a graduate student at Stanford University pursuing a degree in Artificial Intelligence between 2021 and 2023.
