Morten Hillbom

Morten Hillbom has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Morten is currently the Co-founder and CTO at Celsia, a position they have held since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Cognite as a Senior Software Engineer from January 2021 to September 2021. Morten also held the positions of Software Engineer II from January 2019 to December 2020 and Junior Software Engineer from August 2018 to January 2019 at Cognite.

Before joining Cognite, Morten worked as a Software Engineer at Cisco from August 2017 to June 2018. Morten also worked as a Frontend Developer at Bekk for a brief period in June 2017, where they contributed to the development of the crowdfunding project Spleis for Sparebank1 using React, Redux, and Node.js.

Morten's experience in academia includes working as a Teaching Assistant in Systems Development at the University of Oslo from January 2017 to June 2017 and as a Visiting Scientist in the Soil Physics Research Group at Ghent University from September 2016 to November 2016. Morten also worked as a Graphic Designer at the University of Oslo from July 2015 to October 2016.

Additionally, Morten has experience as a Data Scientist. Morten worked at Bicon AS as a Data Scientist during the summer of 2016 and as a Data Scientist on a part-time basis during the spring semester of 2017, where they performed predictive analytics using R and Oracle SQL on large datasets.

Prior to transitioning into the tech industry, Morten worked as a Photographer at Eide Foto from February 2013 to November 2014.

Morten Hillbom has an education history that includes a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming from the University of Oslo (UiO) from 2014 to 2017. In addition, they obtained another Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from San Jose State University in 2015. Prior to their university studies, Morten attended Drømtorp Videregående Skole (Upper Secondary School) from 2011 to 2014, where they completed their High School education with a focus on Communication and Media Studies.
