Eddy Sotelo

Eddy Sotelo has a diverse work experience in academia and research. Eddy has held various roles at different institutions throughout their career. From 2005 to the present, they have been working at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, initially as a Research Associate, then as an Associate Professor, and currently as a Full Professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy. Eddy has also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge in 2015. Additionally, they have been involved in editorial work as an Associate Editor at Springer Nature Group since 2022. Eddy has also held positions as an Executive Board Member at Sociedad Española de Química Terapéutica (SEQT) and as a Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Celtarys Research SL. Prior to these roles, they worked as a Research Associate at Università degli Studi di Bari and as a Profesor asociado at the University of Vigo. Their career began as a Research Associate at the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt. Eddy Sotelo's expertise lies in organic and medicinal chemistry, as well as pharmacology.

Eddy Sotelo began their education at the Universidad de la Habana in 1988, where they pursued a degree in Química orgánica. Eddy continued their academic journey for five years, completing their studies in 1993. After that, Eddy Sotelo enrolled at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in 1995 to further advance their knowledge in the field. Eddy dedicated himself to Medicinal Chemistry and successfully obtained a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry in 2000, marking the culmination of their educational achievements.
