Leslie Howarth

Les is a chemist with over 30 years’ experience of research, development and process improvement in a wide range of industrial applications. Les has worked with colloids, clays, dental cement, aluminium, ink, coatings, fabrics, soda-lime, oxygen “candles” for submarines, fuel fraud detection and food starch in England, Scotland and the USA before joining Celtic Renewables. During his career he has also developed skills in statistics, patent analysis and knowledge management. His current role is to assist in commissioning and troubleshooting Caledon Green whilst networking with the activities of all Celtic Renewables teams. When Caledon Green is in production, he will also develop its products to add further value to the organisation. and investigate the rheological control of the carbohydrate raw materials.
