Octavio Castillo

Octavio Castillo serves as the Head of Corporate Affairs and Chief of Staff for the Executive VP of Corporate Affairs, Enterprise Risk Management, and Social Impact at Cemex since September 2020. In addition to these roles, Octavio is the President of the Comité de Fomento y Protección de las Inversiones Mexicanas en el Exterior at COMCE Oficial, President of the Centro de Integración Ciudadana AC, and a National Advisor for Coparmex. Furthermore, Octavio is involved with the Milken Institute as a member of the Young Leaders Circle and serves as a Fellow at the US-Mexico Foundation. Past experiences include advising a presidential candidate during the 2018 Mexico Presidential Election and holding leadership positions in various Mexican governmental departments, including the Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público and the Secretaría de Desarrollo Social. Octavio's educational background includes a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University, a Master's degree in National Security Policy Studies from Universidad Naval de México, and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana.
