Nicolas Avellaneda

Nicolas Avellaneda is a highly experienced colorectal surgery specialist, currently serving as a staff surgeon in the Department of General Surgery and Proctology Unit at CEMIC since 2013. Nicolas has also held positions as Chief of Surgery Residents and as a general surgeon, further enhancing expertise in the field. International training includes an International Colorectal Fellowship at Aarhus Universitetshospital and a Colorectal Surgery Rotation at Humanitas Research Hospital. Previous experiences include rotations at renowned institutions such as Cleveland Clinic and the Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute. Nicolas's educational background features a degree in General Surgery at Instituto Universitario CEMIC, a Colorectal Surgery Fellowship at Nueva Proctología, and a Mastership in Coloproctology from the University of East Anglia, alongside a PhD in Medical Science.
