Nymul Khan

Nymul Khan has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Nymul currently serves as the Head of Technology Development at Cemvita Factory Inc. since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Rinati Skin from May 2018 to January 2021, where they held the position of Scientist and Head of Analytical and Engineering. In this role, they led the development of plant cell suspension cultures and managed research projects related to alternative cannabinoid production platforms. Nymul also oversaw daily activities involving GCMS, HPLC, and LCMS/MS analysis.

Before joining Rinati Skin, Nymul worked as a Postdoctorate Research Associate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) from January 2017 to April 2018. At PNNL, they spearheaded synthetic biology research initiatives, authored scientific papers, and managed a laboratory technician on a project. During their time at Penn State University as a Graduate Research Assistant from August 2010 to June 2015, Nymul managed a research project focused on developing alternative platforms for autotrophic biofuel production. Nymul contributed to scientific papers, proposed new project ideas, and assisted in grant writing. Notably, they successfully engineered two autotrophic bacteria for biofuel production as part of an ARPA-E grant.

Earlier in their career, Nymul served as a Graduate Research Assistant at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University from August 2007 to August 2010. In this role, they managed a research project aimed at mitigating NOx and SOx pollution and made significant contributions to scientific papers and grant proposals. Nymul also developed a chemical method for the absorption of NOx and SOx from industrial flue gases.

Nymul Khan started their education at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from 2001 to 2006. Following their undergraduate studies, they attended North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University from 2007 to 2010, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Continuing their academic journey, Nymul Khan enrolled at Penn State University from 2010 to 2015, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemical Engineering.
