Richard Smith

Richard Smith is an experienced energy specialist currently working at Cenergistic since October 2019. Previously, Richard served as a Residential Energy Advisor at Franklin Energy Services from August 2016 to October 2019, where responsibilities included performing in-home energy audits and analyzing home energy efficiency. Prior experience includes a role as a researcher at ThinkGeoEnergy, focusing on global geothermal projects, and a position at Best Buy overseeing the truck team's efficiency in shipping and receiving. Richard also contributed to sustainability awareness as a GREEN Program Ambassador and as a Study Abroad Ambassador for the Office of International Programs. Richard holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy from Reykjavik University and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Environmental Studies and Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, along with a minor in International Relations and Affairs.
