Nick Vanden Brand

Nick Vanden Brand is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Senior Completions Engineer and Senior Drilling Engineer at Cenovus Energy since May 2017, Nick is responsible for designing and optimizing gas wells in the Canadian Deep Basin while providing engineering support to operations personnel. Prior experience includes a role as a Drilling Engineer at ConocoPhillips, where Nick focused on designing drilling programs for the Western Canadian Business Unit and collaborating with service companies to enhance drilling efficiency. Previous positions held include Wellsite Supervisor at NVB Consulting LTD., managing wellsite operations and safety for natural gas wells, and Floorhand at Akita Drilling LTD., performing essential tasks in drilling operations. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Montana Technological University and a Technical Diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
