Oliver Newman-Jones

Oliver Newman-Jones has worked in the tech industry since 2007. From 2007 to 2010, they were an R&D Engineer at DENSO. From 2010 to 2016, they were a Systems Administrator at Nomensa, where they were responsible for systems administration consisting predominately of Linux and Windows server administration and networking with Linux AD integration, management of office and data-centre based hardware & software specification, procurement, build/configuration and maintenance, VPNs, AV, backups, databases, digital phone systems, firewalls and mail servers, as well as desktop configuration and support on Windows XP/Vista/7 and OS X. Oliver also managed live/dev/QA Python and Drupal application environments and in-house built software deployment, configuration, monitoring and issue resolution. Version control was primarily with SVN and Git. Since 2016, they have been a Senior Engineer at CensorNet.

Oliver Newman-Jones attended Coleg Ceredigion from 1999-2001, studying Motorsport Engineering. Oliver then attended Aberystwyth University from 2002-2008, where they obtained a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science.
