Tom McKelvey

Tom McKelvey is currently the Director at CENTEGIX. Prior to this, they were with Symphony Technology Group from January 2008 to December 2012 where they were a Partner and the Chief Executive Officer NA & Global Chief Operating Officer.

Under Tom's leadership, Symphony Technology Group was turned around from a loss on the investment position to a successful monetization to a Fortune 500 company. This created ~$565 million of shareholder value and returns of ~6x MOIC on the primary transaction followed by ~5x MOIC on the secondary transaction for management.

Tom restructured the balance sheet and developed and implemented a strategic plan that grew the company from $107 million to ~$400 million in revenue and <$7> million to $45 million in EBITDA in four years. Tom also reorganized the 11 year old global company with cumulative EBITDA losses of <$244> million and delivered a successful turnaround and exit at over 21x EBITDA. Tom improved free cash flow, balance sheet management and operating leverage, and exceeded all financial and operating covenants every quarter of private equity investment.

Tom was recognized as one of the Top 25 Professionals in the industry and led the company to status as one of the Top Ten Best Companies by a Bloomberg journal. Tom has also participated in investment thesis and transformational agendas on multiple private equity opportunities.

Tom McKelvey graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting. Tom then went on to earn their master's degree in accounting from Oklahoma State University. After working in the accounting field for a few years, they decided to pursue a Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School.
