Amyliza de Jesus

Kidsville Teaching Artist at Centennial Park Conservancy

Amyliza de Jesus currently serves as the BHIP Collaborative Care Manager at the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System since October 2022 and has been a Kidsville Teaching Artist with Centennial Park Conservancy since October 2021. Additionally, Amyliza is involved as a songwriter in the Words & Music Program at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum from September 2019. Previous experiences include internships and practicums in music therapy at various healthcare facilities, including National HealthCare Corporation, TriStar Centennial Medical Center, and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Amyliza has a strong background in music and social work, holding a BA in Music from Saint Louis University and an MSSW from the University of Tennessee System, complemented by studies at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. Early career roles included serving as a musician/songwriter with the Little Miss Ann Band, a nanny for a private family, and an Assertive Community Treatment Specialist at Thresholds.
