Sara Cummings

Sara Cummings, LCSW, serves as the Clinical Director of Outpatient Services and Social Work Manager at Centennial Peaks Hospital since September 2020, overseeing medical detox and dual diagnosis units in an inpatient psychiatric setting. Previously, Sara fulfilled roles as Interim Clinical Director of Inpatient Services and Intake Social Caseworker at the City and County of Denver, focusing on child abuse investigations and crisis interventions. With experience as a Clinical Research Assistant at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Sara conducted assessments with pretrial detainees, and as an Intern Intake Specialist with Adams County Juvenile Justice, worked with at-risk youth. Early career roles included providing support to survivors of domestic violence through positions at DC SAFE and C.A.R.E., and Sara holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Denver and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Michigan State University.
