Catherine Gewertz

Catherine Gewertz is an experienced journalist and editorial leader, currently serving as the Editorial Director at the Center for Assessment since August 2022. Prior to this role, Catherine spent over two decades as a reporter for Education Week from December 1999 to August 2022. Catherine also held reporting positions at the Los Angeles Times between June 1989 and October 1993, and at United Press International from December 1982 to June 1989. Catherine earned a Bachelor's degree from Stanford University.
