Eric Fried

Associate Director, Drug Product MSAT at Center for Breakthrough Medicines

Eric Fried has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on drug product development. Eric is currently working at the Center for Breakthrough Medicines as an Associate Director, overseeing drug product manufacturing. Prior to this, they worked at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, where they held multiple roles including Principal Scientist, Senior Scientist, and Scientist in the field of large molecule drug product development. At Janssen, they managed and guided late-phase drug product development activities for immunology and neuroscience biologics programs. Eric also conducted formulation development for parenteral therapeutics, focusing on patient-centered target product profiles. Before entering the pharmaceutical industry, Eric worked as a Research Scientist at the City College of New York, Department of Chemical Engineering, where they studied model biomembranes and biomimetic cell-cell interactions. Eric also served as a Graduate Research Assistant during their time at City College. Eric's work experience began as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Virginia.

Eric Fried has a strong educational background in Chemical Engineering. Eric obtained their B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Eric then pursued further education and completed their PhD in Chemical Engineering at The City College of New York from 2010 to 2015.
