Oxana Tsygankova

Oxana Tsygankova is a Senior Scientist at the Center for Breakthrough Medicines since October 2022, with extensive experience in research roles. Prior to this, Oxana served as a Research Associate and Research Scientist at Thomas Jefferson University from December 2014 to May 2022, focusing on clathrin-dependent mechanisms of cell adhesion and motility, as well as the analysis of Hip/Hip1R in endocytosis. Oxana's research tenure at the University of Pennsylvania spanned from August 1995 to December 2014, where investigations were conducted on the role of Rap1/2 in cAMP-induced differentiation and tumorigenesis in thyroid cells, along with studies on small G proteins as cAMP targets. Earlier, Oxana was a Post-doctoral Fellow at Duke University from March 1993 to July 1995, studying neuronal cell adhesion molecules. Oxana holds a Ph.D. in Protein Chemistry from the Shemyakin Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and a BS/MS in Biology/Biochemistry from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
