Chelsea Johnson

Chelsea Johnson is an International Fellow at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES). Her work encompasses issues related to adaptation, loss and damage, and climate finance, including in the context of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Ms. Johnson holds a Master of Science in Environmental Sustainability with a focus on Environmental Justice, Sustainability, and Development from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Earth Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Ms. Johnson has a range of environmental sustainability professional experience in the private, non-profit, and NGO space. Before joining C2ES, her experience included working with the United Nations Development Programme on issues related to biodiversity and finance.

Ms. Johnson also worked as an environmental planner for AECOM, consulting on numerous projects with federal, state, local, and private clients and authoring environmental assessments through the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
