Agnes Mittermayr

Agnes Mittermayr is a Benthic Ecologist at the Center for Coastal Studies in Provincetown, MA, since April 2017. With a strong background in marine ecology, Agnes completed a PhD at GEOMAR, focusing on marine ecology from 2010 to 2014. Previous experience includes postdoctoral positions at the Marine Biological Laboratory and GEOMAR, as well as fieldwork as a visiting scientist for Cape Cod National Seashore. Earlier roles include a research associate position at ecotone, and internships at Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park and Gateway National Recreation Area, where water quality assessments and ecological monitoring were key responsibilities. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Oceanography from the University of Southampton and a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg.
