Derick Williamson is a highly experienced coach and educator in endurance sports, serving as Co-Founder and Coach at Durata Training since July 2009, where the focus is on helping athletes meet their personal goals. As Adjunct Lead Fitness Faculty at the Center for Creative Leadership since July 2016, Derick facilitates leadership programs through fitness and nutrition education. In the role of Head Coach for the USA Triathlon Paratriathlon Team, Derick has led the program to significant success, culminating in eight medals at the 2024 Paris Paralympics and seven medals from the Tokyo Games. Additionally, Derick has contributed to the development of elite athletes through USA Cycling as a Level 2 Coaching Instructor and has played a key role in the USA Triathlon Collegiate Recruitment Program. With a Master’s degree in Sports Science and Nutrition from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion & Exercise Science from Appalachian State University, Derick Williamson brings a robust academic background to their coaching and leadership roles.
