Tiana Austel is a seasoned professional in corporate social responsibility and employee engagement, currently serving as Senior Manager of Employee Engagement at eBay since July 2023. Concurrently, Tiana holds the position of Philanthropy Chair on the Board of I Love A Clean San Diego, promoting environmental initiatives in the region, and serves on the Finance Committee for the Center for Disaster Philanthropy. Previously, Tiana worked at Illumina for six years, progressing through various roles including Sr. Specialist in Corporate Social Responsibility, where contributions included leading employee volunteering efforts and developing genomic literacy resources. Tiana's earlier experience includes an internship with The Wonderful Company, managing grant programs and volunteer events, and a fellowship at the UCLA Volunteer Center focused on civic engagement and marketing. Tiana holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies from UCLA.

CDP’s mission is to leverage the power of philanthropy to mobilize a full range of resources that strengthen the ability of communities to withstand disasters and recover equitably when they occur. With an emphasis on recovery and disaster risk reduction, CDP aims to: • Increase the effectiveness of contributions given to disasters • Bring greater attention to the life cycle of disasters, from preparedness and planning, to relief, to rebuilding and recovery efforts • Provide timely and relevant advice from experts with deep knowledge of disaster philanthropy • Conduct due diligence so donors can give with confidence • Create plans for informed giving for individuals, corporations and foundations
