Niharika K. has a range of work experience in various fields. Niharika worked as a Mental Health Counselor at the Center for Discovery, where they supported adolescent clients with mood disorders in their journey to mental and physical wellness. At Purdue University, they served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, studying cross-cultural parent-child attachment and analyzing relations between parental caregiving and infant attachment security. Niharika was also part of the Health and Human Sciences Mentor Program Core Leadership Team, supervising mentors and organizing events for first-year undergraduate students. Niharika served as a Resident Assistant at Hilltop Apartments, fostering an inclusive community and providing support to residents. Niharika also worked as a Research Lab Intern in a neurotoxicology lab, where they studied the effects of toxins on dopaminergic neurons to understand Parkinson's disease. Niharika K. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Purdue University from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they received their International Baccalaureate Diploma from Mira Loma High School between 2012 and 2016. In addition to their formal education, Niharika also obtained certifications in Adult First Aid/CPR/AED from American Red Cross Training Services in November 2020, and in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention from Crisis Prevention Institute in July 2020.
