Center for Housing and Health
We promote the coordination, research, evaluation and policy development of housing and health programs that serve vulnerable populations in the Chicago Metropolitan Area. In 2017, we helped 459 people, including 104 children, secure permanent homes. We delivered furniture sets and essential move-in items to 40 families and individuals after they moved into their new apartments. We offered permanent supportive housing, including intensive wraparound case management services, to 260 households. We provided in-home mental health and substance use counseling to 12 participants. We worked with 16 people to help them obtain an income through disability benefits.
