Annie Vang, LGSW, ACSW, is a dedicated mental health clinician currently employed at the Center for Human Services since April 2022. With a background in social work, Annie has held various positions including Behavioral Health Specialist II at Turning Point Community Programs and Case Manager at The Salvation Army. Previous experience includes case management at Mental Health Resources Inc and administrative support at Amherst H. Wilder Foundation. Annie's early career involved roles focused on resource support and quality assurance in the community health sector. Annie earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Augsburg College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Metro State University.
Center for Human Services (CHS)
Center for Human Services opened in 1970 as Head Rest, a drop-in center for youth who needed support. Now, with over 250 paid staff, at least 100 volunteers, and operating budget of 12 million dollars, CHS serves over 20,000 clients a year through programs in the areas of shelter, juvenile justice services, mental health counseling, school-based services, family resource centers, and substance abuse prevention and treatment. Our services continue to support the youth and families of Stanislaus County. CHS has a long history here, and we do what we can in response to the needs of our community.
