Kimbra Edwards, PhD has held a variety of roles in the medical and research fields. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Research Assistant at Trinity College - Hartford, and then as a Research Intern at the Boston Biomedical Research Institute from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, they held a Health Fellow position at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center, and was also a Neuroscience Editor at JoVE. From 2014 to 2020, they were a Graduate Student at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and then held the roles of Associate Director, Medical Writing, Senior Manager, Health Communications, and Project Manager, Health Communications at CISCRP.

Kimbra Edwards, PhD has a comprehensive educational background. Kimbra began their studies in 2009 at Trinity College-Hartford, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Neuroscience in 2013. In 2014, they began their doctoral studies at UMass Boston, and in 2019 they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Developmental and Brain Science. Additionally, in 2019 they obtained three certifications from Coursera: Microeconomics Principles, Healthcare Marketplace Specialization, and Business and Financial Modeling Specialization.
