Jordan Rakoske

Director Of Infrastructure at Center for Internet Security

Jordan Rakoske has extensive experience in the field of information technology and infrastructure management. Jordan started their career at Davis Vision in 2005 as a Telecommunications Technician, where they provided desktop support and maintained telecommunications equipment. From 2007 to 2008, they worked at CAPCOM FCU as a Telecommunications Technician, where they set up user systems, implemented call flow, and provided help desk support. Rakoske then joined the NYS Office of Victim Services in 2008 as an Information Technology Specialist 2, where they managed network infrastructure, deployed computers, and supported software applications. In 2011, they moved to ME Engineering, P.C., where they served as a Network Administrator responsible for managing the network infrastructure and office equipment. Jordan joined the Center for Internet Security in 2012 as a Senior IT Systems Administrator, and later progressed to the role of Technical Product Manager and Senior Technical Product Manager in the Security Best Practices Automation Group. In these roles, they led teams in developing security hardening configurations and created automated assessment content. Rakoske eventually became the IT Infrastructure Manager and later the Director of Infrastructure, overseeing the IT infrastructure Service Group and coordinating enterprise projects.

Jordan Rakoske attended SUNY Schenectady County Community College from 2001 to 2004, where they received two Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees. The first degree was in Electrical Technology and Computer Support, and the second degree was in Computer Networking and Support. In addition to their formal education, Jordan has obtained several certifications over the years. In 2003, they obtained a certification in Computer Support from SUNY Schenectady County Community College. Subsequently, Jordan obtained certifications in various fields such as Windows Security Administration, leadership training, high-impact presentations, and VMware virtualization. Most recently, in 2018, they obtained a certification in "Evolving into the Manager Role" from New Horizons Computer Learning Centers.
