Aren Castro

Aren Castro has a diverse work experience in the fields of design, urban planning, and architecture. They have recently worked as an Associate Director of Design and Neighborhood Equity at the Center for Justice Innovation since May 2023. Prior to that, Aren was a Forefront Fellow and Fellow at the Urban Design Forum from June 2022 to September 2023. They also worked as a Project Designer at The Street Plans Collaborative from October 2019 to May 2023. Additionally, Aren has experience as a Junior Architectural/Urban Designer at BROOKS + SCARPA ARCHITECTS from January 2019 to June 2019 and as a Graphic Designer at Florida Atlantic University from May 2018 to April 2019. They gained architectural experience as an Architectural Intern at Synalovski Romanik Saye LLC from May 2014 to August 2018. Aren also served as a Teaching Assistant at Florida Atlantic University in May 2017.

Aren Castro holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Florida Atlantic University. Prior to pursuing higher education, Castro earned a High School Diploma specializing in Architectural Engineering from Atlantic Technical College in 2014.
