Jessica Yager

Project Director, Red Hook Community Justice Center at Center for Justice Innovation

Jessica Yager has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Jessica is currently serving as the Project Director at the Center for Justice Innovation. Prior to this, they worked at Women In Need, Inc. (Win) as the Vice President of Policy and Planning. Jessica also held multiple positions at the NYU Furman Center, including Executive Director, Deputy Director, and Policy Director. In addition, they worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Urban Planning at NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Furthermore, they have experience as the Director of the Foreclosure Prevention Project at Queens Legal Services and as a Senior Staff Attorney at the Office of the Appellate Defender. Jessica began their career as a Paralegal at South Brooklyn Legal Services and has also served as a Faculty Fellow at Seton Hall Law School Center for Social Justice. Furthermore, they worked as a Law Clerk for Judge Napoleon A. Jones, Jr. at the U.S. District Court.

Jessica Yager attended Wesleyan University from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in American Government and Politics (United States). Jessica then went on to attend New York University School of Law from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree.
