Karim Antonio Lesina is a distinguished executive with extensive experience in external affairs, communications, and regulatory matters within the telecommunications sector. Currently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief External Affairs Officer at Millicom since November 2020, Karim oversees Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Communications, and ESG functions, focusing on global engagement and reputation strategies. As a co-founder of the Center for Latin America Convergence, Karim contributes to policy discussions and transformative changes in Latin America. Additionally, Karim holds leadership positions on the boards of several organizations, including IREX and USTTI, and has previously served as Senior Vice President for International External and Regulatory Affairs at AT&T. Karim’s academic credentials include a Master's degree in Economics of Development from Université catholique de Louvain.
