Jonathan Harvey

Assistant Chief Of Behavioral Health & Director Of Crisis Services at Center For Life Resources

Jonathan Harvey has a diverse work experience in the field of behavioral health and crisis services. Jonathan started their career as a Counselor Intern at the Family Psychology Center, where they provided counseling services to university students and community individuals. Jonathan also completed internship duties with McMurry University and Just People Inc. in the Abilene area.

After that, Jonathan joined the Center for Life Resources in 2008 as a Crisis Interventionist and Screener. In this role, they worked with individuals in crisis, providing follow-up care and conducting screenings for MHMR services.

In 2012, Jonathan was promoted to the position of Director of Crisis Services and Suicide Prevention Coordinator at the Center for Life Resources MHMR. Along with direct care to individuals in need of screening or crisis services, they also started supervising staff.

Currently, Jonathan holds the position of Assistant Chief of Behavioral Health and Director of Crisis Services at the Center for Life Resources since 2017. Jonathan provides oversight and direct care for Mobile Crisis Outreach programs, Respite, and Suicide Prevention operations. Jonathan also assists in coverage for Case Management, Med Clinic, and 1115 programs.

Jonathan Harvey attended Hardin-Simmons University from 2000 to 2008, where they pursued a dual degree in Theatre and Psychology. Jonathan obtained a Bachelor of Behavioral Sciences and a Master of Arts in Family Psychology during their time at the university. Jonathan'sfield of study throughout their education was focused on Theatre, Psychology, and Family Psychology.
