Charmin J. Leon

Senior Director, COMPSTAT for Justice at Center for Policing Equity

Charmin Leon serves as the Implementation Specialist for the COMPSTAT for Justice (C4J) Initiative at the Center for Policing Equity (CPE). She's responsible for facilitating the work of CPE's C4J team and the departments' internal implementation team, and the collection of information and data in preparation for the analytics phase of the needs assessment. She also helps agencies and their communities work together to implement a shared strategic plan.

Prior to joining CPE, Charmin served 13 years at the Cleveland Division of Police in Ohio; working patrol, investigating complaints of officer misconduct, overseeing the personnel and background investigation units, and finally establishing and leading the Public Safety Recruitment Team for Police, Fire and EMS.

Charmin recently began a term as a volunteer Commissioner for the Cleveland Community Police Commission. She serves on the Board of Directors for Project Lift Services and also serves on the advisory board to the newly formed Ohio Office of Law Enforcement Recruitment under the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
