Kimmie Henage

Kim Henage was born and raised in Utah, where she received her bachelor’s degree from Weber State University in Sociology and later obtained her Certification in Fundraising/Grant Writing, from the University of Utah.

As a teenager, Kim had the opportunity to tour the United States for two years as an interpreter for the deaf serving as a committee member for the first Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and helped the committee raise awareness for Bill 504 (authorizing rights to the handicapped). This experience gave her the desire to seek constructive changes as a part of her life goals.

Kim has worked as a Special Events Director, Board Member, and Executive Assistant with the Boys & Girls Clubs for many years. She spent eight years as a co-owner of a custom home and residential development company. From 2005-2007 she served as the Utah spokesperson for CHIP for Senator Orrin Hatch. In 2009 she and her family moved to Cuenca, Ecuador for a year to fulfill a Humanitarian Mission where she taught English at an all-girl orphanage.
