CFAI 11th Edition Formation Team - Cat. 3 - Strategic Planning Team Lead at Center for Public Safety Excellence

Trevor Wilson, MSML, CFO, EFO, has extensive experience in public safety and education, currently serving as Division Chief of Planning for the City of Indianapolis since February 2004. In this role, Trevor has focused on improving ISO classifications and pursuing CFAI accreditation, while also contributing as a Peer Assessor for CFAI. In addition to this role, Trevor is an Adjunct Faculty member teaching a graduate course on Public Safety at Indiana University Indianapolis. Trevor is actively involved with the Center for Public Safety Excellence, leading strategic planning for the CFAI 11th Edition accreditation model, and serving as a Technical Advisor and Accreditation Peer Assessment Team Leader. Additionally, Trevor is a Board Member of the Chet Whitaker Memorial Scholarship Foundation, supporting educational initiatives for youth. Prior experience includes serving as Sports Information Director for the Circle City Conference and teaching at Roncalli High School. Trevor is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership at Marian University Indianapolis, building on prior degrees in management, fire services administration, and secondary education.

Center for Public Safety Excellence

CPSE is the not-for-profit organization that accredits fire/rescue departments (Commission on Fire Accreditation International), provides professional designations for fire/rescue officers (Commission on Professional Credentialing) and provides technical and facilitation services for fire departments to help them develop strategic plans and analyze local community risks and hazards (Technical Advisor Program). Today, there are over 200 Accredited Agencies, representing both municipal fire departments and Department of Defense fire agencies and almost 2,100 fire officers who have achieved professional designations as Chief Fire Officer, Chief Training Officer, Chief EMS Officer, Fire Marshal and Fire Officer.
