Eric Teetsel currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at the Center for Renewing America since September 2024. Prior to this role, Teetsel was the Vice President of Government Relations at The Heritage Foundation from September 2022 to September 2024 and held various positions including Chief of Staff, Legislative Director, and Special Assistant for U.S. Senator Josh Hawley from January 2019 to September 2022. Teetsel was also the Executive Director at Family Policy Alliance from December 2016 to December 2018, and served as Senior Advisor for Jerry Moran's Senate campaign in 2016. Additional roles include Director of Faith Outreach for Marco Rubio’s presidential campaign and Executive Director at Manhattan Declaration from 2012 to 2015. Teetsel began their career as a Program Manager at the American Enterprise Institute and worked as a Life Directions Advisor at Colorado Christian University. Educationally, Teetsel holds a Bachelor's degree in Interpersonal Communications from Wheaton College and a Master of Education in College Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific University.
