Joung-ah Ghedini-Williams has extensive experience in communications and advocacy, particularly in the field of refugee rights. Joung-ah has held various leadership positions at the UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, including Head of Global Communications and Emergency Response Coordinator. Before that, they worked as a Senior Regional Public Information Officer/Spokesperson at UNHCR. Joung-ah also held a role as an Advocacy Associate at Refugees International. Their most recent position is as the Chief of Communications and Marketing at the Center for Reproductive Rights.
Joung-ah Ghedini-Williams has a Master's Degree in International Relations and Affairs from The George Washington University, which they obtained from 1990 to 1992. Joung-ah also has a Bachelor's Degree from the University of California, Davis, which they earned from 1986 to 1990. Their Bachelor's Degree includes a focus on Political Science and Government, as well as Italian Language and Literature.
