Rafael O. Morales

Rafael O. Morales serves as Vice President & Director of Philanthropy at the Center for Responsible Lending since October 2025, bringing over 22 years of experience in community economic development. With expertise in asset-building, entrepreneurship, workforce development, and affordable housing, Rafael has worked with community development credit unions nationwide and has held key philanthropic roles at organizations such as Self-Help Federal Credit Union, The James Irvine Foundation, and Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Rafael's leadership and strategic contributions in grantmaking and community organizing aim to strengthen economic stability and enhance opportunities for diverse working families and communities across California and the nation. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Middlebury College and a Spanish Language School program in Madrid.
