Kiara Rodriguez

Community School Director for Flushing International High School, New York City at Center for Supportive Schools

Kiara Rodriguez is a Community School Director working with Flushing International High School in Queens, New York. As a Community School Director, she is responsible for the day-to-day management of the community school strategy in collaboration with school leadership and community partners. Prior to joining CSS, Kiara was an AmeriCorps member with City Year New York where she mentored and coached students in the areas of attendance, academics, and social-emotional learning. She also served as an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) member in the Office of Community Schools, Department of Education, where she collaborated with the Director of Capacity Building to implement monthly professional development sessions for Community School Directors. Kiara holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in psychology from the University at Albany, State University of New York (SUNY).
