Tiana Epps-Johnson

Tiana Epps-Johnson has a diverse and extensive work experience. In 2006, they interned at the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights, where they worked on the Voting Rights Project. From 2008 to 2009, they served as a Junior Specialist at the UCSF Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education. In 2010, they joined the New Organizing Institute, taking on several roles including Deputy Data Manager and Project Manager for the Voting Information Project. Tiana also worked as the Election Administration Director from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, Tiana became a Technology and Democracy Fellow at the Harvard Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation. Additionally, they founded the Center for Tech and Civic Life in 2015 and served as the Founder and Executive Director. In 2018, they were selected as a 2018 Obama Fellow, recognized for their outstanding work as a civic innovator. Throughout their career, Tiana has been dedicated to improving the American voting experience and addressing societal challenges through technology and civic engagement.

Tiana Epps-Johnson pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from an undisclosed university between 2004 and 2008. Later, they attended the London School of Economics and Political Science from 2009 to 2010, where they successfully completed their Master of Science degree with Distinction in Politics and Communication.
